BRUSSELS - Air种子搜_种子帝 traffic at Brussels Airport and Liege Airport was suspended Tuesday evening as a security measure following drone sightings, according to Belgian media.
Shortly before 8 pm (1900 GMT), a drone was reported flying over the territory of Brussels Airport, said a spokesperson for Skeyes, the Belgian air traffic control agency. "As a precaution, all air traffic was temporarily suspended."
"When a drone is spotted, the standard procedure is to suspend flights for at least 30 minutes to allow time for necessary checks and to ensure that there are no further unwanted overflights," said the spokesperson.
Initially, div种子搜_种子帝ersions to Liege Airport were announced, before the airport also reported the presence of drones nearby. Skeyes said that there is yet no evidence to establish a link between the observations made in Brussels and Liege.
