Karki, Nepal's former chief justice, was sworn in on Friday evening following KP Sharma Oli's resignation on Tuesday.

Highlighting China and Nepal's time-honored friendship, the Foreign Ministry said in an online statement that China, as always, respects the development path chosen independently by the people of Nepal.

A ministry spobt 磁力屋kesperson added that Beijing stand ready to work with Kathmandu to promote the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, enhance exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and further advance bilateral relations.
